King David is a poet and a musician. In the time of the Second Temple the harp of King David had seven strings. The number seven, related to the seven days of the week, signifies in Jewish Mysticism the world of nature. In the time of Moshiach the harp of King David will have eight strings, a number which means a world above nature. As the sea was split, when the Jews were freed from the bonds of slavery in Egypt, the supernatural miracles were performed within nature.
