"Therefore, say to the Children of
Israel: 'I am G-d, and I shall TAKE YOU OUT from under the
burden of Egypt; I shall RESCUE you from their
service; I shall REDEEM you with outstretched arm and with great
judgment. I shall TAKE you to Me for
people and I shall be a G-d to you...'" (Exodus 6:6-7)
The REBBE RASHAB established
the custom of drinking four cups of wine on the last night of Pesach during the
meal which is dedicated to Moshiach. The four cups are related to the four
states of redemption in the past and in the days to come.
